BIO: Through the love of cooking and authentic family recipes, Pat Fettig, Brett and Dadni Johnson started Empanadas Aqui, a food truck in the Greater Cincinnati area. It started in the spring of 2014. When Dadni moved to Cincinnati from Caracas, Venezuela, in June of 2012 to marry Brett, a lot changed for her. Because she missed home so much, Pat and Brett decided to start a food truck that would bring a taste of Dadni’s home up to Cincinnati. With Pat’s marketing and market research background and Brett’s experience in the food and hospitality industry, the food truck was the perfect idea. And even better, it uses Dadni’s family recipes to serve empanadas to the Greater Cincinnati area. Empanadas are a traditional Hispanic dish that are eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or as a snack. They are Latin American turnovers that are fried or baked and are filled with different combinations of meats, cheeses, and vegetables.
